THE PROCESS

OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS

“Every Knot Tells a Story — Crafted by Hand, Perfected by Heart.”

1. Yarn Creation

Theme: From imagination to inspiration

Our process begins with the creative spark. Expert designers sketch intricate patterns inspired by nature, culture, and tradition — blending timeless motifs with modern aesthetics. Each design is carefully planned before moving to the loom.

2. Material Selection

Theme: Quality begins with choice

Only the finest materials are chosen — premium New Zealand wool, pure silk, cotton, or bamboo fibers. We ensure durability, comfort, and sustainability in every strand.

3. Yarn Spinning

Theme: Turning fiber into thread

Natural fibers are hand-spun or machine-spun into yarns. This step ensures consistency in texture and thickness, forming the base for flawless weaving.

4. Dyeing the Yarn

Theme: Colors that speak tradition

Using eco-friendly dyes and natural ingredients, our dyers bring life to plain yarns. Each color is carefully tested for accuracy, tone, and longevity — ensuring vibrant shades that never fade.

5. Mapping the Design (Graph Making)

Theme: Precision in every knot

Before weaving begins, a detailed graph or “Naksha” is prepared. This acts as a color-coded map guiding artisans to knot each section accurately according to the design layout.

6. Hand Weaving / Knotting

Theme: The heart of craftsmanship

Artisans sit by traditional handlooms, tying thousands of knots with remarkable precision. Depending on design complexity, a single rug may take months to complete. This is where art meets patience.

7. Trimming and Clipping

Theme: Defining beauty in detail

Once weaving is done, skilled craftsmen trim the pile and refine the design outlines using sharp shears. This brings out the patterns and textures beautifully.

8. Washing and Finishing

Theme: Purity and perfection

The rug undergoes multiple washes to remove impurities and soften fibers. Natural sunlight drying enhances luster and ensures the rug maintains its shape and texture for years.

9. Stretching and Final Inspection

Theme: Where quality meets precision

Each rug is stretched to even out its dimensions and then thoroughly inspected for any flaws, uneven knots, or color mismatches. Only rugs that meet our high standards move forward.

10. Packaging and Export

Theme: Delivering art across borders

Finally, every rug is carefully rolled, wrapped, and packed with moisture-proof materials. With safe and sustainable packaging, we ensure that our handmade art reaches homes around the world in perfect condition.
